Don is past Director of Information Technology for the Pembina Trails School Division in Winnipeg. Don is the past-President of the Computer Education Coordinators of Manitoba and Past Chair of the Advisory Board of the Manitoba Education Research and Learning Information Networks. Don sat on the Canadian Internet Registration Authority Nomination Board.
Don has been recognized as a leader in technology, speaking at national and international events. Don received the 2008 North-American Nemertes PilotHouse Innovator Award, the National Connected Learning Communities Education Hero Award in 2007, Manitoba SMARTPartners Provincial Award for Connectivity in 2006 and the National Hero of Innovation Award in 2005.
