8th Canadian ‘Classroom of the Future Challenge’ to Launch at Can/AM Reception

Orlando, FL, January 14, 2016 — MindShare Learning Technology, a catalyst in driving innovation and change in education, will be announcing the launch of the 8th ‘Classroom of the Future Challenge’ at the CanAm reception at FETC, Thursday, January 14, 5pm est, Rm 230G at the Orange County Convention Center.
“It’s most fitting for us to announce our Classroom of the Future Challenge at our Can/Am Celebration of Excellence reception here at FETC,” said Robert Martellacci, President and Chief Digital Curator of MindShare Learning Technology. “Engaging both teachers and students to create and share awesome projects is the goal this year. We thrive on celebrating excellence in teacher innovations across Canada. This year, our national contest winners will each be awarded with an amazing Makerspace, that includes some of the essential components of this highly popular learning environment that enables project-based learning.”
The 8th annual contest challenges Canadian teachers to capture innovative teaching and learning practices and upload a two to four minute video, podcast, or digital portfolio showcasing the role pedagogy and technology play in engaging and motivating their students in the 21st century classroom.
Submissions will be accepted until midnight EST on Friday, March 11, 2016.
The official announcement of the three (3) 2016 grand prize national winners will be shared in the April edition of the MindShare Learning Report. Winners will receive a ‘Makerspace’ prize package (including professional learning) valued at over $10,000.00 for each school.
