Hello everyone, and welcome to the C21 Canada Podcast Series, produced in partnership with Dell Technologies. I’m Robert Martellacci, CEO of C21 Canada, and this series is designed to spotlight real stories, real leadership, and real impact as innovation reshapes teaching and learning across Canada. Today’s episode is a special one-year check-in on our AI Use Case Project, an initiative launched last year to document how artificial intelligence can meaningfully improve learning across K–12 education. From the beginning, this work has been about practice over hype. It’s been about educators, students, and system leaders exploring AI responsibly, ethically, and with learning at the centre. One year later, we’re asking: What’s changed? What’s stuck? What’s scaled? And what leadership lessons are emerging as AI becomes part of everyday educational practice? I’m delighted to be joined by Geoff Edwards, Superintendent, Learning Technologies, the Ottawa Catholic School Board—one of the systems that helped bring this work to life in real classrooms. Geoff, welcome, and thank you for being part of this important national conversation. Karen Yamada Katina Papulkas
