Under his leadership, New Brunswick became the first province in Canada to embrace AI province-wide, hosting a historic, system-wide gathering of education stakeholders to explore how AI can be responsibly and equitably integrated into learning. This forward-thinking move is reminiscent of the province’s early leadership during the federal SchoolNet ‘Information Highway’ project over 25 years ago—when NB became the first to connect every school with high-speed fibre.
