Robert Martellacci and his associates collectively bring over 50 years of expertise to the K-12, post-secondary and lifelong learning environments. He draws on his experience as a university administrator, where he specialized in sport marketing, public relations and business development in promoting the interests of York University. As a passionate lifelong learner, Robert augmented his expertise as a Phi Delta Kappa graduate of Pepperdine University Master’s in Education Technology which inspired the creation of the MindShare Learning Report — Canada’s Leadership, Learning & Technology eMagazine.
Robert followed his passion for connecting education and business to support student success with an eye on technology as the future. As country manager, he launched The Learning Company School Canada, a leading educational software publisher which, under the leadership of Kevin O’Leary (Dragon’s Den), was eventually acquired by Mattel.
His international scope includes Australia, the Middle East, South America, the United Kingdom and the United States. Robert’s board appointment to ASPIC (Applications Service Provider Industry Consortium) Americas Committee reflects his global connectiveness and leadership in the industry.
Robert maintains close ties to his alma mater at York University (Toronto, CANADA) and Pepperdine University (Malibu, USA). He serves on the board of the Institute for Research on Learning Technology and is the past Chair of York University Varsity Hockey Alumni. He is also a fellow of Stong College at York University and a longtime member of the faculty ice hockey team. Robert is past vice-chair of Computers for Schools (Ontario) and was recently elected as Co-Chairman of the Canadian e-Learning Enterprise Alliance (CeLEA) board. He is also the founding President of the Pepperdine EdTech Alumni Chapter and, most notably, the co-founder C21 Canada — Canadians for 21st Century Learning & Innovation.
Robert is a supporter of the Community Scholarship Fund at York University. He believes it’s important to invest in tomorrow’s leaders today.
