Contact North | Contact Nord, Ontario’s Distance Education & Training Network, offers two unique, one-of-a-kind web portals in Canada supporting Ontario’s students and prospective and faculty and instructors from Ontario’s public colleges, universities, literacy and basic skills and training providers.

The bilingual Ontario Online Learning Portal for Students (studyonline.ca / etudiezenligne.ca) is a 24/7 gateway to information for Ontario’s students and prospective students including:

  • Available online and distance programs and courses from Ontario’s 24 public colleges, 22 public universities and 250 literacy and basic skills and training providers. As of December 2014, the Portal hosts information on 1,280 programs and 26,000 courses. Of these results, there are 31 programs and 864 courses available in French.
  • Student support services available from Ontario’s 24 public colleges and 22 public universities as well as general support services available for Aboriginal learners, Francophone learners, First Generation Learners, learners with disabilities and financial help information.

The Ontario Online Learning Portal for Students, updated in 2014 to provide new look, new tools for users and a new responsive design for mobile users, hosted 90,000 users who generated 400,000 pageviews to date in 2014.

The Ontario Online Learning Portal for Faculty & Instructors (contactnorth.ca/home) is a 24/7 gateway to information for faculty and instructors at Ontario’s 24 public colleges, 22 public universities and 250 literacy and basic skills and training providers including:

  • The Start-up Series showcasing the innovative work taking place in online learning from private sector companies in Ontario.

The Ontario Online Learning Portal for Faculty & Instructors has hosted 80,000 users who generated 250,000 pageviews to date in 2014.
